Windham & Windsor Housing Trust, NeighborWorks H.E.A.T. Squad to host regional energy roundtable
Windham & Windsor Housing Trust is to host “Road Map to Efficiency”, a regional energy roundtable Tuesday, January 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in their community room located at the Daly Shoe Building at 68 Birge St, Brattleboro. [Snow date of January 27.]
The roundtable will offer tools, resources, and support to homeowners, energy committees, and interested community members.
There will be open discussion, as well as regional presenters. Presenters include representatives from Green Mountain Power, Efficiency Vermont, Windham & Windsor Housing Trust, New England Grassroots Fund, Vermont Climate Energy Action Network, USDA Rural Development, and Vermont Energy Education Program.
“We want to empower community members and energy committees to confidently navigate their ‘road map’ to energy efficiency,” Bruce Whitney, HEAT Squad outreach coordinator said. “Roundtables are an easy way to get a lot of information on an array of topics in a one-stop-shop setting.”
Roundtable topics include community grant opportunities, programs for schools, cold-climate heat pumps, residential solar options, on-bill repayment for residential efficiency projects, how to get construction management for energy efficiency projects, advice for starting an energy committee and how to spur action in communities.
There will also be an opportunity for energy and conservation committees, and interested community members, to discuss successes and obstacles on a town-to-town level, with input and advice from statewide experts.
Light refreshments will be served.
Preregistration is not required, but is encouraged. Contact Bruce Whitney at Windham & Windsor Housing Trust for more information or to RSVP [email protected] or (802)246-2111.
